The Sixers gave the Los Angeles Lakers a run for their money but in the end the defending NBA Champions prevail winning 99-90.The Sixers took a 51-50 lead into halftime but the Lakers outscored the Sixers 49-39 in the second half to secure a victory at LA. The Lakers used a balance scoring attack as Kobe Bryant had a modest 19 points but dished out 8 assist. The bigs for the Lakes were impressive as Pau Gasol posted 23 points and 11 rebounds. Andrew Bynum scored 20 points and grabbed 13 boards. Lamar Odom was strong off the bench finishing with 11 points and 9 rebounds.

For the Sixers, Samuel Dalembert more than held his own as he scored 24 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and a blocked shot. Lou Williams scored 16 points and dished off 7 assist. Andre Iguodala barely missed a triple double as he scored 13 points, had 10 assist and 9 rebounds. Next up on the schedule will be a matchup against the Orlando Magic next Monday night at home.
